The Hobo Hot Pool

Saratoga’s natural mineral hot springs sit on the banks of the North Platte — free to everyone, day or night, about three blocks from your room.

Free to the public, forever

The Hobo Hot Pool sits in the town park on Walnut Avenue beside the North Platte River. The springs are part of the Town of Saratoga’s Hot Springs Reserve, which the State of Wyoming deeded to the town on the condition that it remain open and free to the public forever. Tips for a good soak

  • Bring a towel, water and sandals or water shoes.
  • Saratoga sits at 6,791 feet and the water is hot — take breaks, stay hydrated, and keep your time in the Lobster Pot short.
  • If you’re pregnant or have a heart condition, check with your doctor before soaking in very hot water.
  • Late night and early morning are the quietest times — especially beautiful on a cold winter night.
